Days 23 & 24

Was is the lack of sleep? The overindulgence in bad food and candy (which might account for the lack of sleep)? The stress of over- booking an up to now very disorganized life? A slight hormonal imbalance? What ever the cause, Thursday and Friday were not good days. My brain blew small nuggets out of proportion, and I spent way too much of time obsessing over what my classmates thought of me, possibly imagining things and over-reacting. Oh, I get it now!

One of the things I DO NOT LIKE about middle-age is how long it takes for connections to be made now. For instance, I just figured out this morning why I had a beer fountain with one of my home brews that I opened A MONTH AGO. Yeah, school is gonna be fun. And the problem was proportions…I used the full amount of bottling sugar even though I didn’t have a full amount of beer. December madness

I tell myself every year that this year will be different, this year I will be as prepared for the December holiday madness as it is possible to be. I was on the right track; I realized early on that there would be no way to knit gifts for my nieces and nephews. This decision coincided with an email from the World Wildlife Fund, and the gifts were purchased and sent in record time. We are not going to be around for the holiday itself, so the usual travel itinerary between Stratford, Sudbury and Oakville does not need to be …
